To prepare for the upcoming VEX competition, we were charged to design our version of a robot to use in the competition. While searching for good starting ideas, I was inspired by Team 1103 (a one-man team: Joshua Wade) and its version of a powerful forklift that won many VEX competitions in the past. Thus, I decided to base my design around it. This version is more of a prototype, as there are some "kinks" that need to be fixed, but otherwise, the design is rather straight forward. Four motors will power the system of 5 gears and an extremely long chain, which will pull up the claw attached by rail in front. A gear and chain system will also power the 3 wheels on each side.
